Prior to the invasion of TAMS students in McConnell Hall, the building served as an all-female dorm for music students.
Prior to the invasion of TAMS students in McConnell Hall, the building served as an all-female dorm for music students. McConnell Hall was shut down during the 2020-2021 school year to be used as a quarantine dorm for UNT, resulting in all TAMS students being forced off campus. This decision provoked outrage among some at the time, but, in hindsight, most see it as reasonable due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic at the time.
