From March 27th to March 30th, 2023, an election to fill the two UNT Student Senate seats from TAMS was held. Since the incumbents, Senators Zachary Li and Aneesh Mazumder were graduating in 2023, they would be ineligible to run. Advay Vyas, Tejas Rajagopal, and Om Kulkarni filed to run in the election, marking a return to competitive TAMS elections.

Advay Vyas[edit | edit source]

As a Senator, I want to advocate for more involvement in UNT from TAMS through student activities and preserve the campus. I’d also like to pass legislation for wildlife near construction projects. In addition, I'd like to bolster environmental efforts such as UNT-sponsored cleanups that can help spread environmental awareness.

Tejas Rajagopal[edit | edit source]

People should vote for me because TAMS IS BROKE. To make TAMS GREAT AGAIN, we need more money. UNT has a lot of money available through grants, and so does the SGA specifically, so as a senator I’ll work on getting as much as possible for TAMS clubs and programs. I promise to not launder money like I do in monopoly.

Om Kulkarni[edit | edit source]

I want to be your SGA Senator so that I can make a difference in the TAMS community. With my passion and dedication towards TAMS and UNT, I will strive to represent your voices, advocate for your needs, and work towards positive changes for all.
