Biology Committee[edit | edit source]
Welcome to bio! As you’ll soon know, biology will be one of the most information-heavy classes this year. Often times you’ll find the lecture may not be adequate, so you will have to study on your own time from the textbook. But fear not! The Biology TAS Committee is here to help you. We provide many resources, ranging from tutors to our online resources (diagrams, practice questions, concise reviews, videos, memorization tools, and more, all of which can be found conveniently in the TAS Biology Google Drive Folder). However, do note that the best way to study for a majority of the Biology exams is to go through the lecture notes and textbook and, occasionally, by using the in-class powerpoint. These materials are meant to be a supplement or reinforcement of concepts but not your main study tool for the exams.

We will also host review sessions for every test and assignment where the committee heads will be going over general topics and providing an overview of important concepts. Finally, we'll be providing detailed notes / videos on the various topics in CS, as well as encouragement to not give up (as you will need during your second semester of CS).

Math Committee[edit | edit source]
The Math Committee is devoted to giving TAMS students an edge in their rigorous college mathematics courses through a series of practical math resources. A handpicked selection of tutors who have taken the course provide consistent help through one-on-one sessions, allowing for deeper understanding of the material; additionally, past tests and textbook problems ease the transition into college-level testing, which can be very different from regular high school. Our head tutors are dedicated to answering any math questions students may have through test review sessions and giving them full preparation for challenging exams.

Academic competitions are an important part of the TAMS experience, and in order to get the most out of these competitions, TAS's Competitions Committee helps students learn beyond the classroom by hosting review sessions, compiling resources, and helping students get to know various competition formats.
