Dull Roar is the music club at TAMS. Dull Roar has an orchestra, choir, and many ensemble groups. Previous ensemble groups include a jazz band and cello quartet.

Performing Groups

Orchestra

Dull Roar partners with UNT to form a joint TAMS-UNT full orchestra. For 2019-2020, the orchestra was conducted by Gabriela "Gaby" Garzon Avendano, a graduate student at UNT pursuing a doctorate in orchestral conducting.

Ensemble Groups

Students are able to form small ensemble groups which perform at Showcase. Many different groups are formed including string trio, cello quartet, and jazz band.

Music Everywhere

Whether you’re an aspiring Soundcloud rapper, you’ve been playing the piano since before you could walk, or it reminds you of a girl back home, music has a special place in everyone’s heart. Music Everywhere is your avenue to share your love for music with your community, whether it be through performance, education, or simply your passion. We perform at various Denton nursing homes and hospitals, host music lessons at nearby elementary schools, and plan to host our first Christmas recital at a local shelter this coming holiday season.

Freestyle
