TAMS Active Minds is an unadvised club focused on the mission of changing the conversation about mental health.
They aim to not only change the stigma around mental health in the community but also in the TAMS student body as well, with the belief that no one should have to struggle alone. By empowering young adults to speak openly about mental health, they aim to reduce can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and prevent suicides among the TAMS community.
They aim to create a support system for all the students at TAMS through many activities, events, volunteer opportunities, panel discussions, and group seminars all around the central topic of destigmatizing the subject of mental health.
They are also a part of the national Active Minds chapter at UNT, allowing them to expand their outreach to a wider group of people and truly make an impact on the community.
