At the beginning of 2019, an Overwatch team was formed, dubbed the gamer gorls. It wasn't the TAMS Overwatch Team, but it was so much more than that. It was a place for losers to become champions. It was a group for the weak-bodied but able-minded. It was for people who had nothing to do their senior spring. It was a family.
It's history hasn't been recorded thoroughly, and the primary source of reference for the curious can be found at this Facebook event and I guess now this wiki page.
Game History[edit | edit source]
gamer gorls played three games in Spring 2019, losing two and winning one because the other team didn't show up. Thus, we were dubbed champions among the people.
Notably, Alex Battin provided the equipment necessary to attend one of the matches we lost. He is the sole sponsor of gamer gorls and has an excellent read on up and coming esports teams with lots of potential.
Team Members[edit | edit source]
Kaichou: Ellen Qian [Support]
Co-Kaichou: Phi Henry Nguyen [Tank/Support]
Jonathan Ji [DPS]
Preeth Kanamangala [DPS]
Jimmy Liu [Tank/DPS]
Reese Jacobs Neal [Tank/DPS]
Jacqueline Jia [Tank/Support/DPS]
Melanie Che [Tank]
Leo Dong [DPS/useless]
Are you guys good at the game?[edit | edit source]
No. We're the best.
Where are they now???????????[edit | edit source]
Unfortunately, the team has been temporarily disbanded due to distance. Some would say that their comeback, if it happens, will be a sight to behold, retaking the Overwatch scene by storm.
