Discovery Park, commonly nicknamed "D-Park," is a research satellite about a fifteen-minute bus ride north of the main UNT campus, for computer science and engineering classes, labs, and research, where the College of Engineering and College of Information is housed. Though "park" is in its name, D-Park is essentially a gigantic indoor campus, all within one building. The facility contains multiple food courts and cafés, a library, and study areas.

Honestly speaking, D-Park looks like a sad warehouse from the outside. (No offense to Texas Instruments, who donated the building to UNT for the sake of education). Nonetheless, the $2 chicken sandwiches and $1 ice cream cups, which can be bought using flex, make up for the miserable-looking exterior.

Given the distance between Discovery Park and the main campus, most students use the bus to travel between; this leads to additional time needed for obligations that must be filled in D-Park.
