A "Town Hall" activity held on Oct. 2020, in which Dr. Jennifer Cowley, UNT Provost, responded to questions of parents and students over the decision of not allowing to return to [[McConnell Hall]] for [[2020-2021#Spring Semester|Spring 2021]]. In hindsight, the conditions indeed do not permit a safe residential program to be carried out as of Feb. 2021, but frustration nonetheless surrounded students and parents alike over the next several days.

Notably, frustrations arose over the UNT administration's lack of transparency, as there was no communication leading up to decision. Some also criticized the administration's lack of foresight in making the decision, with some seniors outside of the DFW area being unable to take organic chemistry in a remote setting.
