Each board reviews level one documentations and potentially reduces the number of points assigned. JBoard serves to uphold the TAMS Student Handbook and other official policies within the context of TAMS and its students. We are made up of juniors and seniors who are appointed at the beginning of the year to provide a jury of peers who act as a bridge between the student body and the TAMS administration. We also host panels consisting of lawyers and law students to answer any questions about this field.

==Disciplinary Points==
If a student is caught breaking rules or behaving unbecomingly in McConnell Hall, [[Resident Assistant|Resident Assistants]] have the power to assign disciplinary points for the student's actions. To appeal for a reduction of disciplinary points, the docked student can sign up to attend a Judicial Board hearing. Do note that JBoard can only host sessions for Level 1 Documentations. Based on the student's court appeal during the hearing, the board can then reduce the number of points in increments of five. These hearings do not review academic points, however, which are assigned for missing classes, being late to seminar, Academic Un-Integrity (which is very Un-Good), etc. For more information about the disciplinary system and common things that get people docked, check out the [https://tams.unt.edu/sites/default/files/studentlife/forms/tams_handbook_2020-2021v5.pdf TAMS handbook]! === Docks that JBoard Can Review (Level 1) ===
An RA can initially assign 10-20 points for a Level 1 documentation; JBoard helps reduce that number by increments of five. Don't worry about having five or ten points on your record. You only start losing privileges and/or honors at 30 student life points. That ISN'T to say, however, that you just act however you please until you hit the 25-point mark. Please be courteous to others <3

Below is an uncomprehensive list of common Level 1 docks:

* Being up to 15 minutes late to curfew
* Checking out a loaner key more than 3 times in a semester
* Loitering in the center stairwell
* Failing to meet room inspection standards within 24 hours of warning
* Roughhousing (i.e. running in the halls, letting doors slam)
* Conduct unbecoming (i.e. cursing)
* Missing mandatory meetings (i.e. wing meetings)
* Not obliging room time

=== Docks that JBoard Cannot Review (Levels 2-5) ===

* Being ''more'' than 15 minutes late to curfew (Level 2-4)
* Violation of PDA policies (Level 2-4)
* Being off-limits; i.e. getting caught being at Fry Street past 9 PM (Level 3)
* Harassment (Level 3-5)
* Possessing and/or consuming tobacco products (Level 4)
* Hosting or hiding an unregistered overnight guest (Level 4)
* Violation of computer policy (Level 4-5)
* Possessing and/or consuming illicit substances and paraphernalia (Level 5)
* Breaking laws other than traffic violations (Level 5)

==Law Series==
The JBoard Law Series was initiated in Fall of 2020, due to the lack of a student life disciplinary system in a no-McConnell-shenanigans lifestyle. It consists of a series of webinars starring alumni and guest speakers experienced with the field of law for those of us TAMSters considering law as a career path. 

==Execs and Board==
The JBoard executives aren't assigned any roles of a typical club. Each executive is responsible for selecting incoming board members for the school year, leading JBoard hearings, planning info sessions, and tracking community service hours for board members.
